Angela and Shane's
North American Vacation - Week 1
Stage 2
One of my biggest dreams has always been to visit the Grand Canyon.  So a major part of
planning our US trip centered around the best way to get there.   I found a tour package that
included flights to and from the Canyon and an overnight stay on the rim, however much to my
dismay it was based out of Vegas which we had no desire to visit.  Our travel agent Deborah
however insisted that seeing Vegas was a must and promptly booked us on the tour with a night
in Vegas either side.

I must say Vegas was worth going to see, it certainly is an eye opener. It reminded me of
Disneyland for adults.

The three photos above show the Spa Suite that we stayed in the first
night.  The hotel upgraded us for free.

Now as Gerry wisely stated "They don't call it the Petite Canyon". Lol.

The conditions were really smokey due to wild fires in neighbouring states, but
it didn't detract from the experience at all.  Being there was awesome, good
photos however, were hard to get

real!!!!
Here's one of the tireless mules that carry tourists to the canyon floor.
